Teaser Tuesday ~ Quiet Angel

teaser free-clip-art

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today my teaser is from ~ Quiet Angel

We all have that someone we can’t forget, the summer it all began, and the sleepless nights wondering what went wrong.

For Gage Montgomery, that someone is Layla Baxter. When he was 18, he took one look at the chocolate-haired bookworm with porcelain skin and knew his life would never be the same. But it all came crashing down when Layla suddenly and mysteriously disappeared from St. Simons Island — leaving him with nothing but her angel wing pendent around his neck. For 12 long years, Gage couldn’t shake what happened, if he’s the one to blame, wondering where Layla might be. When their paths finally cross, he’s determined to get the answers he’s spent his life searching for — and to get the girl, too. Quiet Angel is a story of hope, survival, and lost love made new again.

“I missed you, too, but you were never far.” Gage touched his shirt with the wings inside. “You were always there.”

My teaser is from 56% in my kindle~

“OK, back to work. Dash is your only groomsman?”
“Yep,” he said.
“You really need more friends.”
“He has multiple personalities, so it works.”

So, this is one of the more comical moments in the book. If you read the blurb, you’ll find another quote that shows of the SWEET in the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I’m planning to post a review on Easter Sunday. 🙂

Looking forward to your teasers this week!

Happy Reading,

  1. This sounds quite fun, if potentially sad, although I can’t get over the fact that I have the exact necklace that is on the cover! Although I’m not exactly porcelain-skinned, I could be said to have chocolate-coloured hair, at a stretch! Problem solved, I’m Layla! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I hope you have a great week!

    • That was just one of several funny moments I could have chosen from! The overall nature of the book was more serious, but I really enjoyed the lighter moments thrown in.

    • Me, too! That was what attracted me to the story to begin with. But, after I started reading it, I found that it was so much more, which was even better! I’ll be stopping by!
