Title: Quiet Angel
Author: Prescott Lane
Publication Date: Feb. 24, 2015
Genre: Contemporary Paranormal(Angels) Romance
We all have that someone we can’t forget, the summer it all began, and the sleepless nights wondering what went wrong.
For Gage Montgomery, that someone is Layla Baxter. When he was 18, he took one look at the chocolate-haired bookworm with porcelain skin and knew his life would never be the same. But it all came crashing down when Layla suddenly and mysteriously disappeared from St. Simons Island — leaving him with nothing but her angel wing pendent around his neck. For 12 long years, Gage couldn’t shake what happened, if he’s the one to blame, wondering where Layla might be. When their paths finally cross, he’s determined to get the answers he’s spent his life searching for — and to get the girl, too. Quiet Angel is a story of hope, survival, and lost love made new again.
“I missed you, too, but you were never far.” Gage touched his shirt with the wings inside. “You were always there.”
My ****4.5 Star**** Review
When you were young, did you ever take a vacation somewhere and fall in love? Layla’s sixteen and that’s exactly what she does, and I did right alongside her! But, Layla is mysterious. She never talks about her self in relationship to her family. She’s staying with her grandmother for the time being. But how long?
Things from Gage’s side are a bit different. He has his whole life mapped out. His parents are very involved and even become a constant in Gage and Layla’s relationship. Gage has never been in love before. He’s 18 and about to leave home. But, he’s already planning on changes now that he has Layla. He’ll do anything for her.
BUT, she disappears.
Without a trace.
So, I was completely sucked in! I was so sucked in that in the middle of the night I kept telling myself just one more chapter, but at the end of each chapter, the book begged me to know what was next. You get both POVs, which really adds to the overall emotional pull the book has.
Does is sound good so far? That’s not even the half of it. That’s just the first 15%!
Flash forward 12 yrs. They meet again, and Gage refuses to let her go a second time!
This book is so much more than a romance, though. There are dreadful moments. Gage makes some stupid judgment calls, but all in the name of love. It’s unpredicatable. So incredibly sweet. Plus, there’s an awesome message about standing up against abuse.
This was my first Prescott Lane book, but it definitely won’t be my last!

Your comment, “so incredibly sweet” sold me. Such a wonderful review. I did fall in love while on vacation once. It didn’t work out, even though we tried a long distance romance. I still think of him now and then:)

Yea, thanks! I fell for a boy on vacation once, but I was still too young to even begin to consider it love. I love the whole idea of it, though. 🙂
