Teaser Tuesday ~ Beautiful Creatures

teaser free-clip-art

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today my teaser is from ~ Beautiful Creatures

beautiful

Is falling in love the beginning . . . or the end?

In Ethan Wate’s hometown there lies the darkest of secrets . . .

There is a girl. Slowly, she pulled the hood from her head . . . Green eyes, black hair. Lena Duchannes.

There is a curse. On the Sixteenth Moon, the Sixteenth Year, the Book will take what it’s been promised. And no one can stop it.

In the end, there is a grave.

Lena and Ethan become bound together by a deep, powerful love. But Lena is cursed and on her sixteenth birthday, her fate will be decided. Ethan never even saw it coming.

My teaser is from pg. 124.

“…They have small minds and giant backsides. Which is to say, what they lack in interiors they make up in posteriors…”

I’m looking forward to seeing your teasers today!

Happy Reading,

Alison

    • I’m finding it ok. 🙂 This is one of those where I actually saw the movie first. I thought it wasn’t that great a movie, but I was betting that the book was amazing. Well, I was surprised to see the movie has been pretty right on. I just had bigger expectations. Enjoyable, but not loving it.
