Can’t-Wait Wednesday 2/6/19

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released.

Ali’s Pick

Title: Tinsel
Series: Lark Cove Book 4
Author: Devney Perry
Release Date: Feb 19, 2019
Blurb: Sofia Kendrick has always cherished her tiara. As the youngest daughter of a wealthy New York family, she’s lived the life of an American princess. But after two scandalous divorces and a breakup smear her name across the society rags, the shine from her crown has dulled. People call her superficial, even gaudy.

She’s nothing more than tinsel.

Desperate for escape and starving for peace, Sofia heads to Montana for a holiday weekend with her brother. But she doesn’t get the relaxing vacation she planned. Instead, she’s put to work in a bar alongside Dakota Magee—a man who does not want her help. A man who is set on teaching her a few lessons about real life and hard work. But Sofia has a couple of life lessons of her own to teach. Like how to fall in love.

Why am I waiting??? Devney writes stories that stick with you! I read a LOT of books, and quite frankly I can’t remember the story line to most of them a few books later. But, I can still remember loads of details about the very first Devney book I read.

Anna’s Pick

Title: When August Ends
Author: Penelope Ward
Release Date: Feb 25, 2019
Blurb: From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone novel.

What do you do when a sexy, older man moves into your family’s summer rental?

Well, apparently, you make a fool of yourself—over and over. Things didn’t exactly get off on the right foot with Noah Cavallari. Our first encounter was embarrassing, to say the least.

But despite that, I found myself waking up every day with a newfound energy. Nothing exciting ever happened on the lake—not until Noah moved into the small boathouse on our property. He’d booked it for the entire summer…and I was still trying to figure out why.

Why am I waiting??? I have several of her books and have always loved her writing and stories. She always does such a fantastic job of creating an alpha I cannot stop fantasizing about! I cannot wait to get my hands on Noah!

Let us know what you’re waiting on this week!!! Need ideas??? Be sure to check out our list of upcoming releases!!

Happy Reading,
Ali & Anna

  1. I love the synopsis for When August Ends, definitely WoW worthy! Devney Perry is a completely new author for me, so I’m off to look at her Goodreads profile. I love romance authors who can write stories that stick with you. Catherine Anderson is my go-to for that!
