Title: Covet
Series: Sinful Secrets #3
Author: Ella James
Release Date: Feb 23, 2019
Blurb: From USA Today Bestselling Author Ella James, an unforgettable forbidden romance with a jaw-dropping twist…
Homer Carnegie. Admit it–you know my name. Your kid’s got my e-trading card. Your husband sits up straighter when I stroll onto the TV screen. He knows I’m going to crack the bat and save the day. Even your grandma’s jonesing for my autograph. But women my age? They’re the worst. Or would that be the best?

It’s not my fault they line up at the door. They catch my balls all right, two at a time sometimes. Believe me, everybody wins.

At least they did–until the video. I heard TMZ paid a million for a bird’s eye view of Homer on his A-game. The only folks who didn’t watch with eager eyes? Red Sox management. They want me benched, or worse, shipped off to rehab.

It’s a long story, what happens next. How I end up on a boat, bound for the world’s most remote island: Tristan da Cunha. Just a speck of dust in the Atlantic.

Except my heart is there.
I don’t know that when I step onto the boat.
I don’t know a lot of things.
What I’ll covet…
What I’ll lose…

*****5 STAR REVIEW*****

This book was just WOW!!! I’ve read several Ella James books, but this has been my absolute FAVE!! This book sucked me completely into it! I was fully immersed into life on the island of Tristan – into the culture and personalities. Every element was well developed from the setting, to the characters, to the plot. Don’t look at the cover and think this is just another contemporary romance – high on the sex. Not that there aren’t any steamy scenes, but this book is soooo far removed from being that. And while it’s contemporary, it won’t at all feel contemporary as you’re dropped off on an island so far removed from the rest of the world and teeming with archaic views.
This book starts with little teasers of who Declan and Finley are. But, those layers aren’t even close to being pulled back. There’s a lot of mystery to both of them. The layers begin to peel back as they find themselves in a scary situation together. They’ve both been through traumatic experiences that have left major scars behind. You so very slowly learn more and more. And it’s at this same so very slow pace that Finley and Declan come together.
Your heart will break for them. You’ll experience some shocks along the way, too. At times it’ll seem as if you’re on a big adventure, and at others as if you’ve stepped off into the latest thriller. As I’ve said, this is so much more than just a contemporary romance! There are so many other things I’d love to say about this book, but I just can’t without dropping some spoilers, and I wouldn’t dream of ruining this for you!
