Top Ten Tuesday ~ Series I Want to See on the Big Screen

Ali here ~

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I hope your week has gotten off to a good start! Todays’s Top Ten is Page to Screen Freebie! There were a lot of different ways I could go with this, but I went with the easiest because I don’t think I’ve ever posted it before – 10 Series I Want to See on the Big Screen. I chose the first 10 that came to my mind, but I easily made my list longer, so I may very well make another post on this topic in the near future. Here we go ~

Sarah J. Maas is one of my absolute favorite authors, and I would so love to see both of these series on the big screen! It would take a seriously awesome director to do them justice, though.

Yes, please!! Hmm, I just can’t decide which actors would do these characters right…

The Mortal Instruments. Yes, I know they tried this, but hey, it’s never too late to get it right! I’d still definitely go see it if someone tried it!

While I really like The Mortal Instruments, it’s The Infernal Devices series that I absolutely LOVE!!

The Selection series. So, I have a thing for romances set in dystopian settings…

The Lux Series!!! I apparently have a thing for romances with aliens, too…

I’ve only read the first book this past week, and I already know that I’d love to see this play out on screen!

This is also a series I want to go back and reread soon!

The Wrath & the Dawn has to be one of my top 10 favorite books of all time…maybe…isn’t that an impossible list to put together??? Well, I know I’d have a hard time saying I enjoyed another book more.

Which series would make your list???
Laters,
Ali

  1. I think the world beckons for the ACOTAR movie. I will have to add The Wrath and the Dawn to my tbr, that’s a ringing endorsement. I’m excited/nervous for The Raven Boys series treatment…

    • I love that at least Maggie wrote the pilot for The Raven Boys. Fingers crossed for that one!! Oh, and I highly recommend The Wrath and the Dawn for sure!!

    • I think most series I have loved, while they might not have been popular when I read them, became popular. But you never know, they make movies out of books a lot that aren’t popular at the time.

  2. OMG TWINS! I love that we had similar choices! Like Six of Crows, Caraval and An Ember in the Ashes!! GAHHH I completely forgot to add Throne of Glass series in there but I completely agree with you. I think it would be great to see this on the big screen or many even a mini tv/netflix series. Great choices btw!

  3. I would really love to see Six Of Crows on a screen either TV or movie. I think Caraval would work well as well. I’m kind of on the fence about Acotar just cause these characters are bigger than nature and I can’t imagine anyone playing them.

  4. Six of Crows (actually, the entire Grishaverse, as far as I know) is actually supposed to be getting a series! Netflix picked it up. :3 I haven’t read the books yet, but I’ve been watching its progress, and I intend to binge read the whole thing right before it comes out.

I haven’t read most of these series, but they’re on my TBR. xD I’m such a slacker. They all sound like they’d make great shows, though. Great list!

    Here’s my TTT post.

    • They are making a Netflix series combining Six of Crows with Shadow and Bone – that’s a little scary to me, but I’ll definitely be checking it out. I’d still LOVE to see Six of Crows as a movie on the big screen. I definitely recommend the books!!!

    • I didn’t hear that, but even if Netflix did, I’d still love to see it on the big screen, too. BUT, I’d soooo watch it on Netflix!!! Thanks for sharing that! I’ll have to check it out!
