It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Happy Sunday!! I hope you are all having a terrific start to your week! And that your 2020 is off to a great start, too!!
Personal Highlights:
Sunday: My daughter was sick Sunday, so I stayed home with her from church. She’s better now with just a lingering cough. I did manage to get in a quick trip to the grocery store.
Monday: I played Photosynthesis with my mom and my sons and then we watched A Quiet Place. That evening I watched The Aftermath with the hubs. I also finished Josh & Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating.
Tuesday: I finished Pretty Reckless and started A Heart So Fierce and Broken. Other than that it was the usual homeschooling, chores, blogging, and reading.
Wednesday: My first daffodil of the year bloomed. I think a lot of my spring flowers are confused with our crazy Louisiana weather.
Thursday: Had our second homeschool class of the new year.
Friday: Errand day ~ Christmas returns; new shoes; grocery shopping. I also got in a couple board games with my mom and my sons. We played Punderdome and found ourselves laughing hysterically at hilarious puns. Friday night we had terrible storms as a result of a very warm front clashing with a very cold front. We are fortunate with only yard clean up. Not everyone else was as fortunate. There were a few deaths in my parish and more throughout the state.
Saturday: Rewatched Avengers: Endgame with my mom, daughter and youngest son. Helped my hubs a little with processing some deer meat.

Did you like A Quiet Place? I really enjoyed that – a lot more than I expected to since I’m not typically a horror fan (it wasn’t exactly a typical horror film).

I don’t do horror either, but I’m good with suspense, and it was definitely suspenseful. I didn’t like losing that certain someone towards the end, but other than that I did enjoy it more than I expected to. My boys had been telling me to watch it forever now.

Wow, you already have flowers? We still have snow on the ground. I hope you have a great week!

Crazy, huh?!? We were below freezing just a couple days after they popped up, but they’re still looking good.

I saw some daffodil stems start to pop here in Washington, too. Then it snowed this morning. Crazy weather!

Wow, looks like you had quite the busy week! That daffodil is beautiful 🙂 How are you liking AHSFAB so far?! I heard it’s quite different to how we left things off in ACSDAL. But I’m still looking forward to it. I had a moment of weakness this morning and ordered some new releases online (including AHSFAB)! 😂

Thanks! I enjoyed AHSFAB but didn’t love it like the first book. I was disappointed in Rhen, but then the ending…. I’m definitely anxious for the last book!! I’ll be looking forward to your thoughts!!

I’ve been hearing a lot of people grumbling about a ‘certain character that they loved in the first’. Some people are even saying that some things his character did were unredeemable!? SO curious. Can’t wait to read it 🙂

Yeah, I can get that. I certainly felt that way in the moment, but with the ending…, I’m curious how I’ll feel after the next book.

Thanks! Yes, she’s all good now and none of the rest of us got sick, so that was a win with all the crud going around.

Sorry your daughter was ill. There’s a lot of nasty bugs going around. My spring flowers are blooming too. Crossing my fingers we don’t get cold enough to kill them.

Thanks. I consider us blessed that she was the only one that got it. We got a cold front after the storms on Friday night, and the temp dropped back below freezing. My daffodils were slumped Saturday, but I think it was just because the rain. They are all perked up now. Hope your flowers survive!!
