March 2020 TBR

Is it really March already?!? I feel like my life is just flying past faster and faster. I am doing my best to slow things down a bit and appreciate the small things. I’m a workaholic, so that’s a bit hard for me. But, I’m looking forward to a family vacation at the end of the week, and I’m super excited that all 3 of my kids will be able to come! With my oldest in college and working part-time on top of that, it’s special when we get the chance to all be together.

With the vacation planned, I really have no idea how much actual reading I’ll get in this month, but I always enjoy putting together a TBR either way! So, here it is ~

You might notice a few books on this month’s TBR that were also on last month’s: Crispin: The Cross of Lead, The Diary of a Young Girl, and Brightly Burning. I just didn’t get to these in February, but I’m really wanting to read each of them, so here they are.

What books are you planning on reading this month??? Have you read any of these? Are you planning to?

Happy Reading,
Alison

  1. Great TBR, Ali! Lots of books on here that I want to read as well. I decided to pick up the White Monarch books after seeing it on here and I’m excited to dive into it. I can feel that it’s gonna be filled with a whole lotta angst? Haha I hope you enjoy Illuminae and all these reads 😍

    • Thanks! I’ve heard others say that you either love or hate the White Monarch series, but I fall somewhere in the middle. I love parts and hate others, but find it so addictive. It’s been quite a while since I’ve read the first book, but I definitely remember it being high drama.

      • I just took a peek of the first chapter and yes, it’s already high drama. I can tell that it’s going to be high angst so I’ve been preparing myself for it 🀣 Haven’t heard anything about this series before so I think I will just go in not expecting anything! Lol I’m just glad all the books are out so if I enjoy the first I can speed through lol

  2. Omg, you’re going to read Illuminae! I’m so curious about it but I haven’t ordered it yet. I’ve read The Diary of a Young Girl and it wrecked me, I absolutely loved it. Long Shot has been stuck at 52% in my Kindle, the triggers were a little too much for me at the time I was reading it. It’s really well written in my opinion and I want to finish it someday but I haven’t got the courage to dive back in it yet.
Also, I’ve pre ordered HOEAB because I couldn’t resist it but I haven’t included it in my March TBR cause I don’t know if I can read it before April, I might be intimidated by its size.πŸ˜…
I hope you enjoy all of these books!

    • Illuminae is a reread for me. I waited too long before moving to the final book in the series, so I’m starting back at the beginning. I have been thoroughly warned about Long Shot, so I’m going to make sure I’m in the right state of mind before attempting it. I’ll be following it up with a light and fluffy read, too. I have heard the Maas’s new one is massive, but I’m REALLY looking forward to it!!

    • Thanks! The Guy in the Middle that I finished a couple days ago was the first ARC I’ve read in a while. I tend to stress myself out when I have several to read. Hope you enjoy them, though!!

  4. How exciting to have the family vacation to look forward to! I hope you manage to get in plenty of reading time. I loved The Ones That Got Away. The whole series was wonderful but that first one was my favorite.

    • Thanks! I used to get my hopes up for lots of reading on vacations, but my kids always usually tend to keep me so busy. We’ll see. I’m so looking forward to The Ones That Got Away!

  5. You have some great books on your TBR. I am curious about the new SJM. It is MASSIVE! Long Shot gutted me, and Lucky Caller left me pie in the sky happy. Illumniae is one of my fave series, as is The Ones That Got Away. I hope you enjoy them all!

    • Thanks! I’ll probably save Lucky Caller for a pick me up right after Long Shot! I didn’t know that the new SJM is massive, but that actually makes me happy. I always just want more and more from her. LOL! I just started my reread of Illuminae yesterday and was surprised at everything coming back to me after I started digging in.
