Hailey
What do you do when you find out your whole life was a lie?
That your husband really wasn’t your husband but someone else’s.
That the vows you made to each other were simply empty promises.
You pick up and move to the country to start fresh.
When life hands you limes, you make sure you have tequila because your life is about to get stirred up.
Jensen
Married to my high school sweetheart, the best thing she gave me was my baby girl.
But we weren’t enough for her. I wasn’t enough for her.
The last thing I expected on my birthday was a Dear John letter, but that’s what I got when she upped and left.
Now, it’s just me and my girl against the world till the new girl moves in next door.
Is there such a thing as a perfect love story?

Natasha Madison was another author on my authors I need to try this year, and I’m so glad that I did! Let me start with Hailey. This girl takes mega hit after mega hit. But she’s super resilient. Then we have the broody Jensen, who has taken some hits of his own. I really enjoyed how they both helped each other move forward. This was a pleasant love after loss story, and I loved the beachfront setting. I did have some issues on the writing front. There were some editing issues, sometimes it was hard to tell who was talking, and there was no warning for many scene changes. Overall, this was a fun read after an emotional start, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

Have you read Perfect Love Story or any of Natasha Madison’s other books? If not, are you going to? I love watching characters overcome their circumstances. Have a recommendation for me?
Happy Reading,

I’ve read a bunch of her books. This is actually one of my least favorite. It was something about the writing. It felt stilted and formal compared to a lot of the other books I’ve read by her. Almost like she wrote it years ago. I’m glad you enjoyed it, though!

I did see issues with it, but still enjoyed it. Glad to know that it’s all up hill from here. That makes me excited to read more from her!!

I haven’t read anything by Natasha Madison yet but I think I have this one on my Kindle. I like the sound of this story of two people kind of starting over after being knocked down. And a single dad… swoon. LOL

It has its flaws, but it was still a really nice escape!! That beginning was a bit of a whopper, though, with all the hits she was taking. But with this book, you get all of that heavy out of the way up front and it’s a slow building up of good after that.
