I’m about a month behind here, but Dini over at Dinipandareads nominated me for by second Sunshine Blogger Award. Actually, if I’m being honest, I’ve been nominated more than twice, but I’m so bad about waiting too long to respond to tags and then I can’t find them. If y’all aren’t already checking out Dini’s blog, please go do so!! You won’t be disappointed!

If you could only eat one dish for the rest of your life what would it be?
I know I’ve mentioned more than a few times that I’m a Louisianian. And honestly I think we have the best food in the world – one of those being crawfish. I love boiled crawfish, but honestly my absolute fave is crawfish etoufee.
What’s your favourite hobby outside of reading?
Hiking. I love exploring nature on foot. It’s my happy place in the real world.
What are three of the best things about the book community?
1)Having people that I can gush and discuss books with who are as passionate about them as I am.
2)The community itself! I have seen so many times where we’ve pumped each other up when needed, offered prayers and support, encouragement, love and kindness to each other.
3)Having people that care about what I have to say and not just when I’m talking about books.
Do you collect anything when you travel (even if it’s locally)?
I have a rock wall in my flower garden made up of rocks I’ve collected from different trails I’ve hiked. Really I can’t take credit. My mom is the one that made the effort to pick them up…even when she wasn’t supposed to…
If someone offered to buy three books from your wish list and you had ten seconds to tell them the titles or miss the chance to get them, what books would you say?
Wow, no time to think? I’ll list the first three that come to mind then ~
I’ve read Simon & Kiss Quotient, but I’d still really love to have physical copies of both of these.
If you could choose to do anything in the world for a living, what would you do?
What I’m already doing – reading and blogging.
Do you own any extra special books (special editions, signed) that you’ll never let anyone else touch/borrow?
I do have books that are special to me that I won’t loan out. I have second edition Thomas Hardy books and a bunch of autographed books or books with special covers covers that I don’t loan out. There are honestly too many to list here.
What fictional character is most like you?
Geez, this is a hard one….The first person that comes to mind that I could relate to is Abby Abernathy. I obviously can’t relate to every aspect of her personality, but there were some clear things that stood out in Beautiful Disaster that were so me. The big thing was that Travis had to earn her trust and be her friend. She wasn’t going to just be another notch on his belt or anyone’s belt. She has respect for herself and won’t sell herself short. And, she wasn’t willing to sacrifice herself and her beliefs for a guy.
What is one of the most interesting things you’ve learned from reading fiction?
Hmm, I don’t know that I have a “most” interesting thing, but there have definitely been loads of interesting things I’ve learned. The first thing that really comes to mind, though, is learning some of the Irish history that I learned in What the Wind Knows.
What is the last book you highly recommend?
This is the last book I’ve finished, and I’d definitely recommend it if you enjoy the genre!!
It is a little-known fact that everyone has a tiny horse inside them. Some say that this horse represents…your soul. What does the tiny horse inside of you look like?
What? LOL! Funny question!! Hmm. Solid black and very glossy (This describes most of the pets I’ve owned…). Strong and healhy. Fierce with an intelligence in its eyes. Okay, so I’m describing what I want it to look like. Don’t have a clue why? But, hey, it’s just for fun, so who cares??? LOL!
