WWW Wednesday ~ 4/8/20

Ali here ~

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

So, I have finished 3 books since Monday, which is good. But, you can see from all the books I have going that I’m still struggling with finding the right books to suit my mood here lately. It’s really rather weird, too. I have been totally content staying at home and quarantining with my family. Actually, I’ve been feeling blessed to be getting all of this time with my oldest, who is hardly home between work and college. But, I suppose even with that my body is still feeling the stress of what’s going on in the world.

Current physical copy ~ All the Stars and Teeth
Current kindle copy ~ The Ten Thousand Doors of January / The Cruel Prince / Butterface / Flow
Current audiobook ~ The Apothecary’s Poison
Current group read ~ Tweet Cute / The Screwtape Letters

Or something else….you just never know…because I don’t even know.

What are your WWWs today???

Happy Reading,

  1. I keep hearing good things about Tweet Cute. I agree about it being hard to get into books right now though. I feel like that virus is always on my mind even when I’m trying my hardest not to think about it. Hopefully we’ll both have better luck concentrating this week.

    • Yes! I wish that for both of us!! I just started Tweet Cute last night and I’m reading it with a group…unfortunately. I say unfortunately because it’s easily a book that I could have kept on reading all the way through, but I’m refraining to stay with the group.

    • I am in such a weird mood with reading right now. I don’t know what it is. Well, I’m sure it’s just the stress of everything – even if I do feel like I’m handling things well. I’m currently at 47% in Flow. I know it’s a novella, so I’m scared there’s not enough time left for a whole lot to happen, and it doesn’t yet feel like a whole lot has happened. If this was a full length novel then I wouldn’t feel concerned because it just feels like all the groundwork is being laid out right now. But, we’ll see. I’m hopeful that the last half of the book will just be awesome despite my reservations. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed the start, but it just hasn’t been anything special yet for me. Anyways, I’m curious to see if I just need the last half of the book to get me there, or if it’s just my crazy mood. Either way, I know I’m definitely looking forward to the full-length books in the rest of the series!!

    • Well, never mind and lol! I just finished Flow. I didn’t realize it was just the groundwork for their story! I thought each book was for a different character. I didn’t realize the whole thing was about Grip and Bristol. Man that ending!!

  2. Great books! I loved The Cruel Prince, and I have a few others that you’re reading on my TBR. I need to get to All the Stars and Teeth!

I’m reading Where Dreams Descend and Cinderella is Dead. I just finished Daughter of the Reich. I think I’m going to read Red Hood next, but it depends on my mood. 🙂

  3. It definitely looks like you have every genre covered with all your current reads. 🙂 Can’t wait to see your thoughts on Flow and The Cruel Prince.
