Stacking the Shelves – 4/25/20

Stacking The Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews/Reading Reality and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all enjoying a nice weekend. We had some severe storms blow through last night. We had some hail and high winds but fortunately no damage. This morning it’s beautiful outside! So, I’m sitting out on my porch enjoying the breeze and listening to the birds.

So here’s some of what I picked up this week ~

I am soooo thoroughly enjoying this book!

~E-book Borrows~

You can find my review for The Hating Game HERE and The Flatshare HERE. I am currently reading Serpent & Dove and really enjoying it!! I haven’t yet started House of Earth and Blood or My Favorite Half-Night Stand. I’m looking forward to both, though!

~Audiobook Borrows~

I really enjoyed my reread of Lady Midnight and was determined not to wait so long again to pick up the next book that I had to reread it again, so I immediately picked up Lord of Shadows. Wild at Heart has a bunch of sexy parts, so I listen to Lord of Shadows when I’m working around the house with the kids nearby.

WARNING ~ Possible Spoilers

Bookworm Box

I was so excited when I opened this month’s box! Savaged! I have been wanting to read this since it came out. Mia Sheridan is a favorite of mine. Her book The Wish Collector is one of my all-time faves! But, I was also a little sad since it’s the last Bookworm box I’ll be getting for a while.

Did you add anything to your shelves this week?

Happy Reading,

  1. I have been such a slacker with Wild at Heart. I loved the first book to pieces, and even pre-ordered the sequel. Obviously, I have yet to read it. I am on my last long list of ARCs (June), then my schedule is wide open. I hope we both love it.

  2. Yay! So glad you’re enjoying Wild at Heart! I’m excited to start that one… hopefully in May. Half-Night Stand wasn’t my fave by Christina Lauren but still fun. And hooray for the Mia Sheridan book! I just love her.

    • It’s a lot of her learning how to adapt and do things there in AK – how to both survive and thrive. It’s a lot of growth for her. I’m a little over half way through and so far there’s only been one angsty scene. I was scared going in that there would be a lot more angst because I couldn’t handle that right now. But, I’m really enjoying it!
