Stacking the Shelves – 5/9/20

Stacking The Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews/Reading Reality and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

I’ve already read this one, but I had previously borrowed it through KU. And this has been my favorite of her books that I’ve read, so bonus!

~E-book Borrows~

I’m currently reading The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society and it’s so very good!! I haven’t started 99 Percent Mine yet, but I’m cautiously looking forward to it. I’ve seen reviews saying it doesn’t live up to The Hating Game. Maybe going in with lower expectations will help me enjoy it better??? Fingers crossed!

~Audiobook Borrows~

I’m currently listening to this one. I hate the turn the plot has taken concerning Julian, but I know Clare is queen at breaking things and fixing them. We shall see!

Yep, that’s it. It was definitely a slow week as far as picking up books went for me. Did you add anything to your shelves this week?

Happy Reading,

  1. Great additions! I’m happy to hear you are enjoying Guernsey and I hope you will react better to 99 Percent Mine going in with low expectations. I personally enjoyed The Hating Game and wasn’t a fan of that one, but things can go either way and I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you. xx

  2. Oh no, what happens with Julian?! Haha I still need to read this finale… I’m so bad with finishing series 🤣 I also have 99% Mine on my tbr and I feel like it’s been there for ages but heard the same things as you. Defo going in with low expectations! Happy reading 🙂

  4. I guess I was a black sheep, because I like 99 Percent Mine. Darcy was hard to like in the beginning, but the more I got to know and understand her, the more I liked her.

  5. I did go in with low expectations for 99 Percent Mine and I liked it. I love as expecting something different and I enjoyed the characters. Hope you like it. Glad you’re enjoying the Guernsey Lit book!! Definitely see the movie after! I loved it!
