#IMWAYR ~ 5/11/20

Alison here ~

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at The Book Date. Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

WHAT I READ LAST WEEK (Since WWW)

Love and Other Words and The Tourist Attraction were both 4 Star reads for me. Queen of Air and Darkness turned out to be 4.5 stars. That was a surprise for me after the rough start, but Clare loves to tear you down to build you back up. And The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society was also a 4.5 star read for me. You can check out that review HERE. Hopefully I’ll have the other reviews coming up soon.

WHAT I’M READING NOW

I am starting The Trials of Morrigan Crow today. I haven’t yet started it. I only barely started The Friend Zone before I fell asleep last night, but I did enjoy what I read. All the Stars and Teeth is just hanging onto okay with constant hints that things might be picking up. Grip is a toughy for me. It’s addictive but the characters are also driving me insane right now.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

Or it could be something else???

Happy Reading,
Alison

  2. I really need to get my hands on The Tourist Attraction. I keep seeing it everywhere and the FOMO feel is real 😂 Glad to hear it was a 4 star read for you! Excited to see that you’re starting Nevermoor! I really hope you enjoy the MG whimsy and magic ❤

  3. I’m re-reading Love and Other Words – it’s one of my all time favorite romances, and I’m going to put The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society back on my tbr. I read it MANY years ago, and I think a re-read is in order, and afterwards I watch the movie. 😀
