The Sunday Post ~ 5/24/20

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Personal Highlights:

I booked a vacation for next month, so now we have something to look forward to in the coming weeks! My daughter and I poured over tons of places looking for the right fit for what we wanted. We shared lots of laughs throughout the process – things like knowing Dad wants a place on the water and my daughter pointing out that they at least had a hot tub. The hubs and I will be celebrating our 22nd anniversary. We’ll be taking our kids with us for the getaway, but it’ll be our first vacation with just the 5 of us (and the dog, of course). We always take our trips with others, and have just never had a trip with just us. My daughter is looking forward to that! We’ve rented a nice cabin on a lake.

  2. Ooh yay for vacations and a nice family getaway at a cabin by a lake sounds wonderful 😍 I always love planning holidays and looking for the perfect place is one of my favourite things to do! Hope you have a great week ahead, Ali 🙂

  3. A cabin by the lake sounds wonderful! I hope you have amazing weather and an incredible time. I loved The Friend Zone so much. Are you planning to read the followup? I adored that book too.

  4. That’s so exciting! I hope you and your family have a fabulous time and a wonderful 22nd anniversary. Congrats on that! The hubs and I are celebrating our 20th in August, and I’m hoping to do something fun. 🙂

  5. Yay for vacation! I’m still trying to figure out when would be the best time to go visit family, lol. It’s hard when states are so different with their guidelines.

    • Yes, we’re going someplace close to home. I was wanting to go visit my dad and my grandmother, but I’m going to continue to stay away from them for a while. My dad is in really bad health and my grandmother is way up in age, so they’re trying to continue quarantining for now.

  6. Vacation planning is so much fun! It’s actually one of my favorite parts of vacation… doing all the planning. 🙂 And it sounds like you’re (past) due for a trip with just family. We always plan a trip in conjunction with our anniversary, too. 🙂 Didn’t happen this year, unfortunately, but maybe we’ll go somewhere in the fall. We’ll just have to wait and see how we feel as things continue to change.

    • Yes, vacations aren’t easy to plan right now with everything going on. We are taking one that is pretty close to home, but it’ll still be a getaway for us! Hope you get to do something awesome in the fall!
