2020 Library Love Challenge June Update

I decided to do the Library Love challenge for a couple reasons. 1) I wanted to track how many books I was actually borrowing vs buying. 2) To encourage myself to borrow more than I buy. If I’m only going to read a book once on my kindle, there’s just really no purpose in my buying it. I can save my money for physical copies of my favorites instead. And while I do take advantage of some ARCs, I honestly don’t accept a lot because I don’t like being given deadlines. They just stress me out and take away the joy of reading for me.

For all the deets on the Library Love Challenge, you can go here ~

Library Card on Fire: Read 60+ books ~ I’m Coming For You!!

Considering I stated in my original post for Library Love that I was aiming to at least achieve Dewey Decimal, I’d say I’m doing pretty awesome with this challenge! I’ve achieved my original goal and surpassed it! With so many people’s businesses closing right now and so many others being laid off, I think continuing to be wise with my spending is a plus. Not to mention I’m trying to put my oldest through college debt free at the moment.

Have your bookish spending habits changed this year with everything going on? When I started Library Love this year I, of course, couldn’t have anticipated what 2020 was going to be bringing our way, but it’s proved to be a very relevant challenge for me!

Happy Reading,
