Top 5 Saturday is a weekly meme started by Devouring Books. You can check out the upcoming prompts at the bottom of the post! This week’s topic is Books With One Word Titles. Last week I went with books from my TBR, so this week, I’m going with recommendations!
I just had to read this one after reading Bright Side. It was a must! And while it wasn’t Bright Side, it was still everything it should have been! Obviously I recommend starting with Bright Side. Yes, it’s sad, but it’s also full of encouragement. It’ll make you want to be a better person!
This was my first Mariana Zapata book, and I knew after reading it that it wouldn’t be the last! This was the perfect blend of sweet and funny!!
I have seen Kennedy Ryan’s name pop up a lot the last couple weeks with all of the readers looking to support Black Lives Matter. And well, honestly, I can’t think of a better book to recommend!
Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman perfected the union of sci-fi and romance with this series!! Definitely a favorite!!
And this series was the perfect blend of fantasy, mystery, and romance. I loved the world built around Caraval, and would love to go visit!!
Upcoming Prompts ~
6/20/20 — Books You’d Give a Second Chance
6/27/20 — Books with Morally Grey Characters
Have you read any of these? What is your favorite book with a one-word title??
Happy Reading,
Alison
This is a really great list! I see some of my favorites on here…

Great list, Ali! Illuminae is of course one of my all time fave and I also really loved Caraval. I surprisingly haven’t heard of Lingus before? But since it’s Zapata you know I’m adding that to my TBR right away! Lol

I’m really hoping to get to Still sometime soon! I love Ryan’s ability to look at things from all sides in such a compassionate way. She just seems to have a heart for people in general and that alone is enough to make me want to keep picking up her books!!

I remember doing the TTT for one word titles, and I found I don’t read that many books with one word titles. I have read all three Iluminae books and the Caraval books too. Oh, I read Grip as well.

I thought I was going to have trouble coming up with 5, but then found it wasn’t too hard. 🙂
