*****My Review*****

*Contains Spoilers if you haven’t read the previous books*

I went into this book so very skeptical. I loved the first few books and then this series took a turn that I didn’t like. Well, then the end of the last book left me feeling hopeful, so I had to pick this one up to see if things returned to the awesomeness that was the first few books. I am so very pleased to say that my hopes were realized!

With the plot twist that took place at the end of the last book things have taken a turn. Juliette/Ella is no longer trying to control things. With her and Warner being taken, they have new goals. There are some nefarious plans in store for them, and they need to escape before there’s nothing left of them.

And you don’t just get Warner and Juliette’s POV now, which I enjoyed. Kenji is a favorite! And I still love the bromance between Kenji and Warner. It’s the best!

There are some twists along the way. You aren’t sure whether you can trust everyone. Some people seem to be playing both sides. And you’re not even sure who’s alive and who isn’t. This book had just the right amount of angst!!

And the ending!!! It just left me giddy! Sigh, swoon, and just everything awesome!!

Now I’m just really stumped if I want to move forward with the series. I am so nervous for them. This one ended so brilliantly, but I know that Warner is so over all of it, and Juliette has been the complete opposite in the past. Then there’s the fact that Warner was born to rule and Juliette just wasn’t. So, I’m scared. I’ll definitely have to check out some reviews!

Either way, if you’d stopped just before Defy Me, I can definitely suggest picking this one up. I was so not disappointed! 4.5 Stars!

Most of you that follow me regularly already know that I’m a stay-at-home wife and mom. My days are usually full of work, though. Tons of work to do around here at all times. I am generally very self-disciplined. I hardly ever watch TV, and I don’t sit around reading all day. Listening to an audiobook while I’m doing chores doesn’t count. Anyway, the point of this is to say that today is one of those days when it’s just really hard not to pick up my book!! LOL!

Happy Reading,

  3. You have me so ready to pick this one up… and scared to continue at the same time! LOL But I can’t resist the pull of Warner and Kenji. 🙂
