The Sunday Post ~ 6/28/20

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Personal Highlights:

It has been a fairly uneventful week for me – business as usual. With all the rain we’ve been getting it has given us some days with cooler temps, which is especially nice. And I haven’t had to water the garden every day. I also got to attend a small graduation that had been delayed. Seating was of course very spaced out. And I rewatched the live action Aladdin with my daughter. This is notable strictly because I hardly watch any TV. I’m always in a book. But, her brothers and the hubs were out, so we had some movie time together. It was nice!

  1. The week was pretty much the same for me and I work all through the holiday weekend coming up. It’s very hot and humid here and I plan to find some time for a couple of dips in the pool:)

    • We are without a pool this year as we’re doing some work to have a bigger pool put in hopefully next year, so I’m super jealous!! I hope you get to enjoy at least a little time this weekend.

  2. I wish we had cooler temps. Every day they forecast rain, and then it doesn’t rain. Oh, well. That’s great that you were able to celebrate the graduation. It’s an important moment.

    • It has now stopped raining but the humidity is so bad that you can hardly tell. Like you said, oh well. And it was great! I was glad they got to squeeze it in when they did as we’re starting to see more restrictions put in place with the covid numbers rising again.

  3. Aw, movie time with your daughter sounds nice! I can’t wait to do that with mum when I move to Jakarta next week. It’ll be nice to be with family again ❤ With all the craziness that has been happening in 2020, a week of business as usual sounds pretty great! Hope you have a wonderful week ahead 🙂

    • It was really nice! So glad you’re going to get to be with family again and out of your toxic situation!! I hope you have a smooth transition and a great week, too, Dini!!

  4. Hooray for the cooler temps. Wish I could say the same. It’s been brutally hot and humid lately and this coming week is going to get worse with temps hovering around 99 degrees. Ugh. I’m like you in that I very rarely watch TV so when I do it’s like an event. LOL Sounds like some nice together time with your daughter, though.

    • Yes, I’ve enjoyed the cooler temps, but we have been VERY humid unfortunately. And I think the heat is working its way back quickly. And watching a movie definitely feels like an event for me. LOL! We were happy to have the time together. 🙂

  5. I had a good week! My reading is progressing a little better, but I’m still only able to read in spurts for whatever reason. I’m enjoying 10 Things I Hate About Pinky!
