Alison here ~
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at The Book Date. Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Reviews coming soon! I really enjoyed The Jane Austen Society. I loved The Hiding Place, and Unravel the Dusk was just okay. King of Lies had its ups and downs but was completely addictive.

I am 75% through The Empire of Gold. I have loved every second of this final book so far, but I am definitely nervous about the end! I’m also enjoying The Printed Letter Bookshop, but I must say that the narrator is a bit monotone. It’s not so bad that I want to put it down, though. And it’s genre is just fiction. I suppose I read fiction to myself a bit monotone. LOL! There’s romance, but it’s not the focus of the book, and I was aware of that going into it.

I hope to start Lady Susan today. It’s the next (and maybe the last) book I intend to read for Jane Austen July. I didn’t get to it last year, but I’m determined to read it this year. I’ll squeeze bits in around my other kindle reads. Beach Read is the next book I’ll be reading on kindle after I finish The Empire of Gold. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will be my next group read with my besties. Incendiary will be my next physical read. And if I can read fast enough to squeeze in Written in Red before I have to read my next library loan, then that’ll be thrown in. That’s a big maybe, though. I do so want to read it!!
Happy Reading,
Alison

Yes! King of Lies was so addictive! Are you going to keep reading the series? I felt like each book drew me deeper into the web of lies. I liked how it all ended.
