The Sunday Post ~ 8/2/20

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Personal Highlights:

I have spent a good deal of time this week reorganizing my books and entering them into a library app. I have currently entered over 500 books, but I still have a long way to go. And speaking of books, I had a phenomenal reading week! Oh, and I had another fun visitor this week ~

Last Week on the Blog:
Sunday ~ The Sunday Post
Tuesday ~ The Empire of Gold Review
Wednesday ~ Can’t Wait Wednesday
WWW Wednesday
Friday ~ Friday Finds

A Few Stats For This Week:

Books Read : 6
The Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty *****
Beach Read **** 1/2
Lady Susan ****
The Printed Letter Bookshop ****
The Little Bookshop on the Seine ****
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder *****

Favorite Book This Week:

With a close runner up ~

Both were fantastic 5 star reads! I also started The Book of Lost Names and Boyfriend Material, but I’m still reading both. And both are very good! I feel like I’ve finally gotten out of the picky reading funk I’ve been in and am once again enjoying books of various genres.

My mother is taking some vacation days this week for us to do some fun (to us) projects around here, so I’m looking forward to that. We were going to build a little bridge for one of our garden paths, but apparently there’s a major wood shortage going on right now. Both Lowe’s and Home Depot look like they’ve been looted according to her. I also noticed that there’s more food shortages this week here. Lots of limits and more empty shelves. Anyhow, we still have some other projects we want to work on. Hopefully I’ll have some pics with a completed project or two for next week.

How was your week??? What was your favorite read this week?

Happy Reading,

    • Good Girl’s Guide is definitely one of my faves this year, too! So very good! And hopefully my mom and I will complete one of our projects, or at least accomplish enough of it, to post some pics soon. Thanks!!

  1. I love keeping track of my books. I love lists, anyway, so it’s a no-brainer for me. 🙂 I organize them two different ways – a Word doc and an Excel spreadsheet – and I also track what I’ve read in the spreadsheet. It’s something I’ve done for years and I love it. I hope the library app works for you. And have fun with the new projects!
