New-To-Me Author Summer Bingo Wrap-Up #nasbingo

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I’m getting this out so late today because I’ve been busy prepping for my homeschool class tomorrow and reading Heart Bones. I honestly wouldn’t be here right now if I hadn’t finished because I was OBSESSED!

I am so very glad that I participated in the New-to-Me-Author Summer Bingo by Reading with Jessica and That Artsy Reader Girl! And again, thanks to Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse for introducing me to this fun challenge!

The Basics:

  • This event lasts from June 1st-August 31st, which is perfect because it won’t overrun any other reading challenges you’re participating in or books you’re excited to read that don’t fit this challenge’s parameters.
  • You can only count books towards the bingo card if you have not read that author before.
  • A bingo can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. You can also go for multiple bingos or blackout if you’re feeling ambitious.
  • Use the hashtag #nasbingo to share updates on your progress and tell us what you’re hoping to read.

Here’s the bingo board ~

Other New-to-Me Authors Read ~

The Voting Booth by Brandy Colbert

An American Marriage by Tayari Jones

So I read 28 new authors between June and August (counting my 2-for-1 with Good Omens). That’s a definite win for me! So many of these were absolutely fantastic. Plus, I got to tackle a ton of different genres: contemporary romance, sci-fi/fantasy, fiction, historical fiction, historical romance, retellings, mystery, etc.

What new-to-you authors have you enjoyed this summer?

Happy Reading,

    • I meant to start keeping track of it this year, but I only ended up doing it for this challenge. However, I have been keeping track of a handful because I made a list before the year started of new authors I wanted to try.
