#IMWAYR ~ 9/14/20

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I got some more time with my besties this weekend, so that was awesome!! Restrictions are loosening up more and more here. The common flu is now killing more people than covid is here. We still have mask requirements, but they are opening up schools here for all students to be able to go every day. I don’t think I would have done that just yet, but we’ll see. I hope things are improving where you are, too!!

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at The Book Date. Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Skyward and Scarlet were both solid enjoyable reads for me. Cemetery Boys took the cake with these, though! I’ll have to break my lack of reviews streak and write up one for this book because I can’t not talk about it.

These are some of the possibilities that I already have downloaded, but who knows. And with my reading habits being what they are lately, I might just be reading all of them next…LOL!

Happy Reading,

    • I bet with Florida being such a tourist attraction that it doesn’t help. New Orleans is the same, but fortunately I’m at the other end of the state. I hope things get better for y’all soon!! And thanks!! I hope you have a great reading week, too!!!

  1. I can’t wait for you to read The Set Up! I loved that one.

We might be starting to open up more soon, too. They’re talking about bringing K-6 kids back in a hybrid model beginning at the end of the month as long as our case numbers stay down. Kids can still stay in distance learning if you want through the first semester, so that is what we chose for my daughter.

    • I’m definitely excited for The Setup!!

It sounds like I would have chosen the same thing if I was in your place. Fingers crossed it won’t cause numbers to start spiking again. Glad to hear things are calming down there, too!!
