WWW Wednesday 11/18/20

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Happy Wednesday! I hope y’alls week has been going well!!

It is currently 70 here in my neck of northwestern Louisiana, and I’m absolutely loving it!! I have been treasuring every second that I’ve had the privilege to sit out on my porch and enjoy it!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Yes, I know I have a lot going on. I’m just always grabbing for something new until something grabs me and steals all my attention. I will be finishing up Hamlet with my homeschool group tomorrow and we’ll be watching The Lion King afterwards. Then we’ll move on to The Giver for the next 4 weeks. Happily This Christmas currently has most of my attention when it comes to listening during the day, and Crush currently has most of my attention when it comes to reading at night. I imagine I won’t pick up anything new until I complete these – with the exception of The Giver for school.

This was such a fantastic book! I definitely recommend it to historical fiction fans, especially if you enjoy the specific time period. I definitely came away from it feeling like I learned a lot.

These are some of the options I have on hand. There’s no telling what I’ll actually pick up next, though.

What are your WWW’s today???

Happy Reading,

  1. I finished Anne’s House of Dreams by LM Montgomery today and I’m currently actively reading Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco and On Writing by Stephen King. My next read with most likely be Blanca & Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore

  2. Ooh, I’ve been a little obsessed with Hamilton ever since it came out so I’d be really curious to read My Dear Hamilton! It sounds really good and y’know I love me some historical fiction! Curious to see what you’ll think of The Plus One Pact–it’s definitely a light/fluffy and fast read! Happy reading, Ali! 🙂

    • Watching Hamilton definitely upped my interest in reading My Dear Hamilton. It’s really long, but I read it in smaller bites as I was reading other books so that I didn’t get bogged down with it. Some parts were exciting and fast moving while other bits were slower. In the end, I learned a lot, though, and was so glad I read it! Light and fluffy you say??? I’m definitely in. I could use all the light and fluffy right now!! LOL!

      • Oh! Really? I don’t know why I expected it to not be so long… But how long is long? I’m gonna have to take a proper look 😂 I can imagine some parts could be slow though but I always love learning new things, so hopefully, it makes up for the slowness like it did for you! Hope you got the light and fluffy read you wanted, Ali! ❤️

    • Oh! I didn’t realize it was the finale. I expected the series to be a bit longer. I’m not too far into it yet, so I can’t yet give my opinion on it. I’m definitely looking forward to my upcoming books!!
