WWW Wednesday 2/24/20

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Happy Wednesday!

I don’t know about y’all but it’s been a bizarre month here in Louisiana. Last Monday we were at a whopping 0 degrees and yesterday we hit 77. We were literally outside in shorts and t-shirts looking at the snow and ice all over the ground.

On the plus side, we enjoyed having the hubs home all last week (of course everything was shut down) and playing in the snow. And we finally got water back yesterday after being without for almost a week. I’m so over melting snow to flush toilets and boiling it to wash. But, that’s why I’ve been MIA over the last week. We are finally getting back to normal here (or at least our new normal).

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Yes, I still have a thousand different books going all at once. I anticipate finishing Hollowpox, Always Only You, and The Last Bear within the next day or two.

These are all the books I’ve finished since my last update.

The first three are already waiting on me, and I have holds on the last two that I expect to come through soon. I’m super excited to get my hands on all of them! I can’t believe February is almost over. I’ll have to make my March TBR soon. I might hold off and put all of these on my TBR and just work on finishing up some of what I already have going for now. You never know.

I’ll leave you with this fun pic of my daughter wanting to walk out onto our pond. It became more solid after this pic was taken but it was unfortunately never solid enough for us to go play on it ~

What are your WWW’s today???

Happy Reading,

  1. Omgoodness, that sounds like such a mad week, Ali 😱 I’m glad to hear that things are slowly getting back to a “better normal” and you’ve at least got water back! How are you liking Hollowpox? I can’t believe I still haven’t read it yet but I can’t wait. I hope you’re enjoying Always Only You! I love the Bergman Brothers series sooo much 😍 Hope you have a great week ahead!

    • It was a crazy week for sure! LOL! I just finished Hollowpox. I enjoyed it, but it was a bit slower than the first couple books. I’m curious to see how the next book will progress after what takes place in this one, though. I plan on digging into (and hopefully finishing) Always Only You tonight. Can’t wait!! Hope you have a great rest of your week, too, Dini!!

  2. I’m glad you finally have water back! It sounds like you had a pretty tough week. And that weather change is so bizarre! At least you got to read some great books in between the chaos! 🙂 Hope you enjoy your reads – I can’t wait to hear what you think of These Violent Delights. I’m debating that one…

    • I finished Avenged last night and that cliffhanger!!! I’ll definitely have to pick up Allied ASAP! And yes, I very much enjoyed ACOSF. I don’t think I loved it like I’ve loved the previous books because Nesta’s story is a lot heavier, but it was still very good. I need Elaine and Lucien’s story now!!

      • A bonus scene?!? I got it on audible and it didn’t have a bonus scene. What edition did you get?? I think I need this bonus scene like yesterday! You have me so curious! I don’t know how I missed this.

      • Thanks!! I found a link on youtube. Hmm, I thought at first she was going to try to hook him up with Elaine, but by the end…I’m thinking he’s meant for a Gwynn (don’t know if I’m spelling her name right). Either way that sounds like a couple more books headed our way. And I didn’t remember the end of Kingdom of Ash – have you made the connection between the 2 series?? Mind blown!!

      • I know you’ve read at least the first half of TOG, have you read Kingdom of Ash? And yes, I’d like to see both Az and Lucien get their happy on! Honestly, I’d even like to see Tamlin find some happy.

      • Okay, well in ch.99 of Kingdom of Ash, Aelin is falling through the wyrdgate and sees a fae couple staring at the stars. The female is pregnant. The winged male blasts Aelin with power that helps slow her down so that she can reach her home again. Obviously ppl are thinking this is Feyre and Rhys, but there’s speculation that the wyrdgates and the harp in ACOTAR might have similar abilities and there might be more crossover between the series. Interesting theories. But after rereading the first part of ch. 99, I definitely agree that Maas is referring to Feyre and Rhys, and that Aelin’s Kingdom of Ash is taking place at the same time as ACOSF.

    • It was a lot of work, but we did get to enjoy it, too, especially since snow is a rarity here. And, yes, I had plenty of books to keep me company, but with everyone home and them wanting to play outdoors, it was mostly play some and work some with a little reading at night. Thankful things are getting back to normal now, though!

  3. Wow you have a lot of books on the go. At the most I usually have about 4 but I just got it down to 2. I’m hoping to finish the last three books on my February TBR by Sunday and those are Taming the Rake, Reign of a King and A Court of Mist and Fury.
