The Sunday Post ~ 2/28/21

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Highlights

This week I was busy playing catch up after all our snow and ice and a week without water. I have finally caught up with all the laundry and dishes! Now it’s a watch and wait to see how many of my flowers will bounce back after the torture.

Yesterday I enjoyed an afternoon with my besties and my hubs fried us all some fish.

What I Read This Week ~

Book of the Week

4.5 Stars

I absolutely can’t wait to read the next book!!

What am I looking forward to this week?

This is our last week with my oldest before he transfers to a university about an hour and a half away. He’ll be close enough to come home on weekends, but it’ll still be a transition. This week will be all about last minute preparations…AKA me fretting over details even though I think we’ve got everything thoroughly prepped for. LOL!

Posts to expect: February Wrap-Up (I completed my February TBR after completing my Medieval-A-Thon TBR), and a March TBR. And if I have the time after school prepping, I’d like to finally write some reviews.

How was your week?

Happy Reading,

Alison

    • Nesta’s story feels so different from Feyre’s (which it should of course!), but I still thoroughly enjoyed it! And after reading Azriel’s bonus material, I am sooo excited for the next book!! Hope you love it!

      • I’m with you! I don’t hate Tamlin. He does some awful things, but in the end, I still want to see him happy. I’m hoping he’ll eventually get his own book. I can’t wait for you to read A Court of Wings and Ruin!

      • Yes he definitely does do some awful things. I would like to see him happy as well. I might try to fit it in in March because I really want to continue with it. Do you know how many books are going to be in this series?

      • I know she’s anticipating writing at least 2 more major novels and one more novella (which may well be a full-size book as far as most authors are concerned).

      • I’ll definitely say that after you read ACOWAR, make sure to read A Court of Frost and Starlight before reading ACOSF. That’s only 3 books to be caught up, so even with spreading them out, I think you can definitely pull it off!

      • True!! Although I can’t stop thinking about ACOMAF so I have a feeling I’m going to be reading the other 2 sooner rather than later even though I have other books I really need to get read.

      • Ha! Well, I think ACOMAF is my favorite of the series, but I for sure find the whole series addictive. I was listening to them and listened to the whole series in just over a week, which is crazy since the audiobooks are long.

      • Yeah that’s definitely a problem for me to. This year I’m trying to read books from my owned TBR so I always look for the audiobooks of the books I’m going to be reading and I can usually find at least 1 or 2 books from my monthly TBR.

      • I’ve been trying to make sure I’m reading what’s on my shelves this year, too. But, I don’t get a ton of reading time during the day, so I can only get through so many physical copies a month. The rest of my reading is done at night, and then I’m limited to my kindle or my phone. If I use a lamp to read a physical copy at night it tends to keep up my hubs, so I try not to do that too much (unless I absolutely have to know what’s happening next…). LOL!

      • I have time during the day to read but I tend to waste my time on YouTube and playing games in my phone m. I typically start reading around 7 or 8 and then read until 10 which is when my husband usually starts to get ready for bed. During the week I won’t stay up to read because he has to work but on the weekends I will stay up late and read any ebooks or audiobooks I have. I have a recliner in our room so that’s where I do my reading and it doesn’t seem to bother him.

      • My hubs is usually in bed by 9 because he has to get up super early for work. But I can usually get in some time between 7 and 9, too. The recliner in the room sounds nice! I don’t have to room in my bedroom for one, but I’ve been thinking of creating a nice reading space in one of my other rooms.

      • It does sound awesome! I have the space. I just need to make up my mind about how I want to do the space. Then it’ll be time and money…neither of which are in infinite supply around here. LOL!
