WWW Wednesday 3/24/21

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Happy Wednesday!

Happy Hump Day! I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Things have been going great here. On Monday my hubby got a promotion, and as a part of that promotion he gets a company vehicle. And I don’t know about the rest of the U.S., but here in Louisiana gas prices have gone up a whole dollar since the start of the year. So, knowing we don’t have to pay for gas/maintenance for him to get back and forth to work was a major bonus!!

And then yesterday I took my father-in-law to get the results of his MRI, and there were no longer any cancers cells to be found! Praise God! So, he’ll continue along with immunotherapy every 3 weeks, and then he’ll get rescanned in June. We didn’t think he was going to live to see Christmas last year, so this is a new lease on life for him!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I haven’t started Shadow and Bone or King of Scars yet, but I’ll be starting them both today. I’ll be reading Shadow and Bone on kindle (mostly at night) and listening to King of Scars (mostly during the day). I expect to finish The Hobbit in the next day or two. I’ve been listening to it with my 2 youngest kids. And, I made some progress on These Violent Delights.

(Since The Sunday Post)

I give both of these 4.25 stars. I enjoyed both of them, but I didn’t love either of them. Hopefully I’ll get my thoughts up on both soon.

These are just a few of my upcoming possibilities. Who knows what I’ll actually end up picking up next.

What are your WWW’s today???

Happy Reading,

  1. I wouldn’t be able to keep on top of so many books at once! There’s some really great ones listed here though! Hope you are enjoying all your reads 🙂

  2. Fab news about your husband and FIL! 🥳 That must be so relieving for everyone. On the bookish note, you’re reading so many books on my TBR… I’m so curious to know what you’ll think of many of them! Are you re-reading Shadow & Bone? Hope you enjoy all the books and have a great rest of the week! 😊

  3. So much good news. How wonderful! Better get used to those higher gas prices. They will only go up. It’s great at least your husband’s commute will be covered. I liked Make It Sweet. A hockey guy who can bake — yes please. My daughter loved the new Cassandra Clare book. She binged the second right after the first. Now the long wait for the next book.

    • Yes! Thanks so much!! And since the bulk of our fuel was his commute, that is an awesome bonus! I’m definitely looking forward to Make It Sweet and Clare’s book. Glad to hear your daughter loved Chain of Iron!!

  4. Gas prices are getting insane! I imagine they might reach $4.00 here in WA this summer. It’s nice he got that promotion and company vehicle! Also, congrats to your FIL! That’s a big relief! You have some fun books coming up — FCU, The Match, Motion, and Make It Sweet? I LOVE IT!

    • $4.00?!? Yikes! I imagine the cost of living is a bit higher there. We’re approaching $3 here. And thanks! Yes, definitely a huge relief for now!! And yes, I finally feel ready for the next Fallen Crest book. LOL!
