The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Highlights/Happenings
Monday we lost electricity for a while, so my daughter and I decided to go for a walk to check out a lot of our blackberry patches. It was a nice hike around a bit of our property. My oldest and youngest love to go blackberry picking. Blackberries are just one of those bonuses for us around here because we don’t have to plant or maintain them.
Yesterday my hubby took our daughter out fishing, and I went out with my besties and we had lunch together.
I finished 5 books last week. I didn’t squeeze in any movies, and I think the only show I watched was an episode of American Idol. So, very little TV time happened. I’ve mentioned we play a lot of board games around here, though. This week we played: Blood Rage, Wingspan, Farkle, and Terraforming Mars.
What I Read This Week
Book of the Week
Although I rated Make It Sweet just slightly under Second First Impressions, I’m really not sure at this point that I can pick a favorite between the two.
Books Still in Progress
What am I looking forward to this week?
I’m hoping for a nice, quiet week for the most part. Saturday we have a surprise graduation party for my middle child’s best friend. He’s participated in my homeschool class for the last several years, so I feel like I’m graduating another kid. He actually finished up all of his classes in December, but his family wanted to wait until everyone had a chance to be vaccinated first.
How was your week?
Happy Reading,
Alison
I haven’t heard of any of the board games you mentioned. Here we have fierce Parcheesi battles. 🙂

LOL! We are serious board game geeks, so a lot of our games can’t be found on a shelf at Walmart.

Glad everything has been going well for you and your family! I haven’t been fishing in forever but it is something I would love to do with my daughter. I think she would love it.

We did! We used it as an excuse to set school aside for a while and enjoy the outdoors!

it’s nice to enjoy the outdoors! Sounds like a good way to pass some time. I liked the Thorne book a lot. I wasn’t sure what to expect, because I saw so many lukewarm reviews, but it was fun feel-good book for me

Yes! I’m definitely enjoying the spring weather! If I had compared Second First Impressions to The Hating Game, then it wouldn’t have been so good, but I tried to go in with zero expectations. That definitely helped me appreciate it for what it was!

I didn’t like The Hating Game as much as a lot of people. I mean, I liked it, but this book was actually more my speed.

One of my besties DNFed The Hating Game because she couldn’t get into it, but it was definitely my cup of tea. One of my favorite all-time romances. So glad you really enjoyed this one, though!!
