Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
Happy Tuesday everyone!! I hope your week has gotten off to a good start! Today’s Top Ten topic is Animals from Books. I chose to pick 10 books with animals in the titles that I have loved, appreciated, or have special memories with them.
This topic was extra special for me today. It took me on a ride through my children’s lives since I’ve read close to half of these with them starting with Runaway Bunny and ending with either To Kill a Mockingbird or Maus. My kids are all teens, though my oldest will be leaving his teen years behind in less than a month, but I have a fantastic relationship with each of my kids, and I know how special and unusual that seems to be today. And I was thinking about how much reading has played a role in that. There are just so many great books that we’ve read and discussed together and grown from together. Anyways, today’s topic just has me feeling nostalgic.

Upcoming Topics
May 4: My Ten Most Recent Reads (maybe share a one-sentence review to go with?)
May 11: Books with Nature on the Cover (flowers, trees, landscapes, animals, etc.)
May 18: Book Titles That Are Complete Sentences (Submitted by Jessica @ A Cocoon of Books)
May 25: Book Quotes that Fit X Theme (Pick any theme you want, i.e., motivational quotes, romantic dialogues, hunger-inducing quotes, quotes that fill you with hope, quotes on defeating adversity, quotes that present strong emotions, healing, etc. and then select quotes from books that fit that theme.)

Have you read any of these? Do you plan to? Did you have any books come to mind with animals in the title that you’ve loved?
Excellent choices! I love your take on this weeks theme and there are so many books here that are on my tbr!

Great choices! I felt like I struggled with this one and then I see other people’s lists and I’m like…oh yeah! Why didn’t I think of that one? lol

How could I not put The Raven Boys on my list! I’m disappointed in myself. You have some good ones here.
