WWW Wednesday 4/28/21

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Happy Wednesday!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

I’ve made progress with most of these this week, but it’s currently Ember that really has my attention. This book sucked me in right from its traumatic start.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

(Since The Sunday Post)

Unfortunately I had a hard time keeping my focus with The Fellowship of the Ring. It didn’t capture me like The Hobbit did. But, y’all know I’ve been in a reading funk lately. Sick Heart did grab and hold my attention, though. I enjoy a dark romance from time to time, but it’s always scary wondering whether it’s gonna pass my tolerance threshold. Fortunately, it was just what I was looking for.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?

These are some of the books on my April TBR that I haven’t gotten to, but who knows. I went way off track this month trying to help get myself out of the slump. I’ve just been very picky lately.

What are your WWW’s today???

Happy Reading,

Alison

    • It’s a reread for me. I wanted to reread the first couple books before finishing the series since it’s been so long. I loved them the first time around, and I think I’ll still very much enjoy them the second go around, too. Hope you get to them one day!

    • It hasn’t sucked me in like I want it to, but as I’ve mentioned, I’ve been in suck a picky slump lately. I keep on reading at least a chapter a day, though, in the hopes that it’ll eventually grab me.

  2. Happy reading! A friend recommended Band of Brothers, and that’s what I’ve been reading 🙂 My last one was a book about Mary Mallon (“Typhoid Mary”), but it wasn’t very good. I don’t know what I’ll read next!

Will you go on to read The Two Towers eventually?

    • Bummer that you didn’t enjoy the book about “Typhoid Mary.” It seems like an interesting subject. Yes, I do plan on moving forward and reading The Two Towers. Hopefully it’ll suck me in like The Hobbit did.
