The Sunday Post ~ 7/4/21

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Happy 4th to my fellow citizens! I hope you all have a safe and fun holiday.

I am finally back home from visiting my dad’s. I had to extend my trip after getting covid. I was cleared to be around people again on Friday and made the trip back home. I’m still recovering, though. My oxygen levels are normal, but my breathing isn’t yet back to normal. I’m praying I can fully recover quickly because we’re heading to North Carolina this weekend.

I didn’t watch any TV this week, but I did watch several movies: Hamilton, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and Jane Eyre.

In July I’m participating in #JaneAustenJuly. I am passing on making an official TBR this year, but I’m already enjoying some great books!

What I Read Last Week

Bloody Spade ~ See Review here.

Soul of the Sword ~ 4 Stars! I definitely enjoyed the first book more, but the end was fantastic and left me wanting the third book!

Mahimata ~ 4 Stars! I really enjoyed the first two books of this series. I’m curious to see if there will be more.

Book of the Week

Books Still in Progress

What’s happening this week?

This week I’ll be busy washing everything from my last trip in preparation for my upcoming trip. And hopefully I’ll be continuing to recover! I’m not very good at sitting still all day. I’m so ready to get back to normal!

How was your week?

Happy Reading,

  1. Glad you are recovering from it! I hope you continue to feel better for your next trip! I loved living in North Carolina. It’s a beautiful place.
