Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
Happy Wednesday!
I hope everyone’s having a great week!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT
This is a very small glimpse of my TBR. Who knows what I’ll actually pick up next. It’s all about the mood read for me!
What are your WWW’s today???
Happy Reading,
Alison

I really enjoyed Neon Gods! That Mia Sheridan book was mentioned in quite a few blogs that I saw last week and I’m admittedly very curious about it—sounds quite angsty though I’ve heard that her books are really good? Happy reading 🙂

I liked Neon Gods, too! I’m looking forward to Electric Idol! I really enjoyed Sheridan’s book, too. The material is heavy stuff, but she handled in a way that kept things lighter and hopeful. There were a couple times that I felt like it was going to get heavy and angsty, but then she would lighten it right back up. But, I don’t have any triggers either. I bet that could make a world of difference on how someone perceives it.

I read The Woman with the Blue Star not too long ago and found it riveting. I read it in a sitting or two. I hope you enjoy all of your upcoming reads. 🙂

Most of All You is so high on my TBR. As soon as I’m in the mood for something super emotional, I’m diving right in.

Well, I can say that I was surprised how well Sheridan handled such heavy topics without it ever feeling too heavy or too emotional. I’m going to note here that I just erased several sentences. I realized I was starting to write a whole review. LOL! Hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze in a review for it later today and can say everything I wanted to.

That cover for the Scarlet Letter is creepy. I read that one in the 80s in my American Lit class in high school. I actually liked it.

I think a creepy covers fits it well. LOL! I didn’t love it when I first read it, but I could still appreciate it. However, I’m finding that I am appreciating it a whole lot more this go around.

I haven’t read The Scarlet Letter yet but it is on my TBR. I’m currently in the middle of 3 different books. The Twelve by Justin Cronin, bag of Bones by Stephen King and The Clinch by Nicole Disney. I haven’t finished anything yet this week and as soon as I finish The Clinch I hope to start The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty.

The Scarlet Letter is one I appreciate very much for its historical significance (on multiple levels), but it’s definitely not an “enjoyable” book. Hope you’re enjoying your current reads!

Yeah I know what it’s about so I can imagine it’s hard to read. Thank you I am.

I hope you’re enjoying The Scarlet Letter Alison! I found it a powerful read once I got through that infernally slow first chapter. Looking forward to reading your thoughts on it! Have a lovely reading week 📚❤️ X x x

It’s a reread for me, and I’m finding that I definitely appreciate it more this go around. But, LOL, I told my kids they were just going to have to suffer through that first chapter.
