Happy Friday! I hope you have all had a great week. I feel like I’ve had a very productive one. I set up a FB group this week for people to buy, sell, and trade books and bookish items – Continental U.S. only (Sorry!), so if any of you are interested, here’s the site ~ https://www.facebook.com/groups/alisbooks4u. I am just getting it set up, so I don’t have a ton of posts up yet, nor have I sent out many invites yet.
Now let’s see what progress I made this week ~
Halloween Readathon
- Classic Lit Spooky Read ~ The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe
- A Book in a Series ~ The Hand on the Wall by Maureen Johnson
- A Book That’s Also a Movie ~ Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
- A Book w/ Fall Vibes But No Spook ~ Crying Wolf by Rochelle Paige
- Spin Off or Retelling of a Classic Spooky Story ~ Of Beast and Beauty by Chanda Hahn
- A Nonfiction Spooky Read ~ The Penguin Book of Witches by Katherine Howe
- A Book That Mentions Halloween ~ The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling
- A Book w/ a Murder ~ The Guest List by Lucy Foley
- A Book w/ Mythical Creatures ~ Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim
- Re-read a Favorite Spooky Read ~ Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
- A Mystery ~ Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
- A Horror or Thriller ~ The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe
- An Urban Legend ~ The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving
- A Spooky Audiobook ~ Survive the Night by Riley Sager
I didn’t pull off any more bingos, but I completed over half the board. Considering my goal was one bingo, this was definitely a win and a lot of fun!!

I didn’t make any more progress this week, but I still feel good about what I read for this one. I completed my goal of one bingo and added in some extras, too!
The Royal Readathon: Fairies
Takes Place All November
- Reread a Book
- Read a Book with a Beautiful Cover
- Read a Book with a Fixer Upper ~ Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber
- Read a Book with a Disagreement
- Read a Book with a Found Family
One prompt down, and five more to go!
Historathon 2.5
Takes Place November 1st – November 10th
- Read a Book about Transportation
- Read a Book with 3 Words in the Title ~ War is Kind by Stephen Crane
- Read a Book That You Feel Like You’re the Last Person to Read
- Read a Middle Grade Historical Fiction
- Read a Book to Movie Adaptation
One prompt down, so that’s already a win for me. This readathon is only taking place over ten days, so my goal was one prompt. Let’s see if I can tackle another one.
I’m also participating in Nonfiction November, but I don’t yet have any books read for this one.
Are you participating in any fun readathons, challenges, readalongs, etc. in November or December?
Happy Reading,
Alison
I don’t really do physical books or bookish stuff, but that’s awesome that you have somewhere to go and do that stuff. Yeah, you!

Thanks! I want to read more nonfiction, too, which is why I’m participating. LOL! I read one in October, so I want to try to read at least two this month.
