#IMWAYR ~ 1/31/21

Happy Monday! Or at least I’m hoping you’re having a happy Monday. I’m squeezing this in late today. My Monday has been busy, but good.

********************************

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at The Book Date. Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

WHAT I READ

I LOVED Cast in Firelight, and I just loaded Bound by Firelight onto my kindle today to finish the duology. I enjoyed Thanatos enough to want to continue that series at some point, too. I adored Anna and the French Kiss – aside from the cheating aspect. Sharp Objects was gripping in a sense, but I didn’t find it satisfying on any level, so that was a disappointment.

WHAT I’M READING NOW

This isn’t a complete list of my current reads, but it’s the most recent ones I’ve started.

WHAT I’M READING NEXT

(Or More Appropriately: Things on my TBR)

I know for sure that I intend to start Bound by Firelight tonight. I also intend to read Luca Vitiello this week with a Cora Reilly reading group that will be starting a complete read through of her mafia romances. And I managed to get Electric Idol from Hoopla, so I want to listen to that before it goes back.

How’s your Monday going???

Happy Reading,

Alison

  1. I’m excited for you to read Getting Schooled. That book/series is so fun! I totally know what you mean about Anna and the French Kiss. I liked it when I read it, but the more I thought about it after with the cheating the more I changed my mind about how much I liked it.

    • I’m excited to get to Getting Schooled, too. Yes, Anna and the French Kiss was a hard one for me. I so enjoyed it – all but the cheating and the fact that there didn’t seem to be any lessons learned concerning it, only excuses.

  2. I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed Cast in Firelight! It’s such a great duology and I hope that whenever you start Bound by Firelight you’ll enjoy it too 😊 I can’t wait to read Electric Idol and I’m very tempted to try Getting Schooled. I hope you enjoy all your reads, Ali!
