WWW Wednesday 2/16/22

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Happy Wednesday!

I hope everyone’s having a great week! I’ve been fighting off a migraine, but otherwise, all is good here.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I have a ton of books going, but these are the most recent ones I’ve started that I haven’t finished yet.

Thanks so much to Yvo at It’s All About Books for your rec on With the Fire on High for my “W” book this month. It was fantastic! And thanks to Leslie at Books Are the New Black. I loved every second of How to Walk Away. 5 Stars! I loved the wheelchair rep! Misty, have you read this one? If not, you’ll have to add it to your list. 🙂 And Deanna, I know you’ve been singing the praises of The Cheat Sheet. I can’t agree with you more! For those of you looking for a long-term friends-to-lovers, you have to check this one out!

These are just a handful of the many possibilities I have awaiting me. I know for sure that I’ll be picking up House of Breath and Sky just as soon as I finish my reread of HOEAB. And I will be starting a group read of Bound By Hatred in a few days, too. The others are a toss up.

Thanks for the recs!

Here are the prompts I’m still needing to fill for this month. I already have some recs for some, but keep them coming!

  • Book about a band or musical group
  • Title Starts with “Q”
  • A book you know nothing about (an issue not well-known)
  • Taboo
  • Sports
  • Childhood Friends (yes, The Cheat Sheet fits, but I finished it before Tropeathon started)
  • Hate to Love
  • On the Run
  • Missing Person

What books are you enjoying this week???

Happy Reading,

  1. So glad you enjoyed How to Walk Away! I thought it was fantastic as well 😍 I really have to read my copy of House of Earth and Blood… Don’t know why I keep putting it off (maybe cos it’s so chonky?)! I hope you enjoy all your reads, Ali 😊

    • Thx! Yes, it was so very good! While HOEAB is very chunky, I actually read it pretty fast the first time despite there being a lot of world building. But, I like how she only gave you bits of world building interspersed throughout the whole story, so that you’re already connecting to the MC. Not everyone liked not getting everything up front, though. For me, I like to connect to the characters while I’m learning everything. The world building is intense, though, so I’m reading it more slowly this time trying to understand more of the world building aspect. It’s complex compared to her usual.
