Happy Monday! I’m just barely squeezing this in on time. I hope you’ve all had a great weekend. My Friday was a bit of a nightmare, so I spent the rest of the weekend just wanting to hang onto my kids for dear life. I’ll preface this by saying that we’re all at home and okay!
My youngest two kids and I were involved in a hit and run Friday around lunch time. My son is just fine while my daughter and I are just a bit sore and bruised. My daughter got the brunt of it, and I know my worry for her definitely took a few years off my life. So, it was a wild weekend! Today her ribs and back are sore but not even enough to need a Tylenol anymore. Praise God!
Now some book talk ~
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at The Book Date. Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.
WHAT I READ
WHAT I’M READING NOW

These are all of the books that I’ve made progress in recently. So, you can see why I’ve only managed to finish one book. I’m enjoying each of these, but none have grabbed me in a way to consume all of my attention.
WHAT I’M READING NEXT
(Or More Appropriately: Things on my TBR)

These are all possibilities, but who knows.
What books are you loving right now??
Happy Reading,
OMG Ali! That’s so scary! I hope all of you are okay. Stay strong! 💜

How terrifying! I’m glad it wasn’t any worse than it was, but I know how it can really shake you up. I’m so sorry that happened to y’all. I hope your books give you the escape that you need.

Thanks, Tanya! I could definitely use the escape. I’m better than I was over the weekend, but it still has a grip on me.

Oh, my! That’s terrible. I am so happy you are ok. Scary. The Do-Over is on my radar. Eagerly awaiting your thoughts

Thanks, Sam! It was scary – especially in the first couple minutes after when I wasn’t sure if my daughter was okay. I know as a mom you’ll understand the terror I felt. I’m not too far into The Do-Over yet, but I think I see where things are headed and I’m enjoying it. I’ll definitely share my thoughts after I finish.

Thanks! I could definitely use some calm. I think that’s why I have so many books going right now. I’m fighting to get sucked into a book right now.

Thanks so much! Seven Days and Alice Network both had a bit of a slow start for me, but I’m much more invested in them both now.
