Stacking the Shelves – 6/11/22

Happy Saturday! Any big plans for your weekend? My hubs and I are celebrating our 24th anniversary today (it was earlier this week but we’re going out today). We’re going to watch the new Jurassic Park movie. Doesn’t sound romantic? Well, for us it’s nostalgic because the very first movie we saw together when we were dating in high school was the first Jurassic Park. That released in 1993 almost 30 years ago. How time flies! I’m so super blessed to do life with him, though. Now let’s see which books I’ve collected over the last couple weeks.

Stacking The Shelves is hosted at Reading Reality and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

~Kindle Unlimited~

I already enjoyed this one. It turned out to be more than I expected.

~Physical Arcs~

There are a couple here that I’m super excited to get to!

~Hoopla audiobooks~

I finished and enjoyed each of these!

~Libby ebooks~

I’m reading this one now. I’m about 50% in. It took a bit for an actual plot to show up, but I’m enjoying it now.

~Libby audiobooks~

I’m listening to this now. There are some aspects that I love, but there are also bits of the plot that I’m just not enjoying.

~Special Editions~

This is the Waterstones exclusive signed edition of Book of Night. I’m really looking forward to reading this!

This section is where I’ll put sub boxes. Today’s pics include the May Fairyloot adult and YA boxes, March Bookish Box YA, May Owlcrate, May Illumicrate, and April Bookish Box adult box.

This is the Fairyloot May Adult version of Book of Night.

This is the May YA box featuring The Stardust Thief. I’ve seen tons of people wanting this book, but I haven’t heard anyone talking about whether they’ve liked it or not (or I’m just not remembering). If you’ve read it, let me know how you liked it!

Some of the other featured items: These Hollow Vows tarot cards, Blood and Ash scrunchies, Stardus Thief tea strainer, Red Rising bottle opener, Daughter of the Moon Goddess mug, and two new bookmarks that go with the mythology collection.

This is the May Illumicrate box, which I was much happier with than the previous box. As you see, we have another edition of Book of Night. My favorite item in this book is the Daughter of the Moon Goddess journal with the black pages. The other items are a Nyx, Goddess of Night, teacup and saucer, Monstress metal bookmark, and Gravebone/Nevernight dagger.

~Bookish Box~

This is the March YA box featuring Only a Monster. Other items: Hades and Persephone jewelry hook, Kingdom of Runes necklace, morally gray character book display, Kingdom of the Cursed metal bookmark, Aries/Daughter of the Pirate King candle, Evangeline and Jack (OUABH) print, and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue tshirt.

This is the April adult box featuring River of Shadows by Karina Halle. Other items include: A Court of Silver Flames book light, River of Shadows phone ring, The Bargainer Series compact mirror, Eranahl/The Bridge Kingdom candle, and Blood and Ash note folio.

This is the May box featuring Ballad & Dagger, which I know nothing about, but the cover has me intrigued. Have you read it? Other items: Lord of the Rings/The Shire bowl, Throne of Glass pin, ADSOM wooden wall banner, Song of Achilles pen set, The Raven Cycle chess set, and Jade Fire Gold bookmark.

That’s my haul for the last couple weeks. What did you add to your shelves this week?

Happy Reading,

    • Thanks so much! I did enjoy the movie. It’s not one that I would say is a great movie, but it was entertaining. And yes, that copy of The Stardus Thief is beautiful. I’m really looking forward to it and Book of Night.
