Tropeathon is happening once again brought to you by Misty @ Misty’s Book Space and Michelle @ Chelle’s Book Ramblings. I wasn’t sure that I’d be able to participate this go around, but here I am at the last minute jumping on board. It begins today and goes through the 26th.
There are really no rules to this. The point is just to have some fun with some specific tropes. I SERIOUSLY doubt I’ll get through all of these books, and I’m not holding myself to these specific books, but I thought it would help me out if I could already map out some options for each trope.

- Teacher/Student ~ Lessons in Corruption by Giana Darling
- Hate to Love ~ Carnal Urges by J.T. Geissinger
- Reverse Harem ~ Lilac by B.B. Reid
- Unrequited Love ~ Smart Mouth by Emma Lee Jayne

- Forced Proximity ~ Happy Trail by Daisy Prescott
- Royalty ~ Between Wrath and Mercy by Jess Wisecup
- Boss/Employee ~ Praise by Sara Cate
- Brother’s Best Friend ~ Twisted Love by Ana Huang

- Celebrities ~ Play by Kylie Scott
- Arranged Marriage ~ Radiance by Grace Draven
- Fairytale ~ An Offer From a Gentleman by Julia Quinn
- Friends to Love ~ The Heir by Sophie Lark
All of these with the exception of Radiance are books that are at the top of my TBR. I didn’t have any books on that list that fall under the arranged marriage category, but that’s probably because I’ve already read several from the trope this year already knocking them off my list.
Happy Reading,
Alison
Some of these are on my TBR too. Good luck and happy reading, Ali! ❤️

Thanks! I really enjoyed Happy Trail. It didn’t hurt at all that I LOVE to go hiking and the Smoky Mtns is among my favorite places to hike. I’m looking forward to Play!

Play has been on my TBR forever now, but it was your review of Smart Mouth that has me wanting to pick that one up.

Just read Lilac last week. It was just…okay. It’s just way, way, too long. Definitely have read better romance books.

Hate to hear it didn’t work for you! I’m curious to see how I’ll like it. Long doesn’t usually bother me, but it can if it feels like it’s dragging for me. We’ll see.

Yay I’m glad you were able to join us again Ali!! I almost went with Lessons in Corruption for the Student/Teacher trope. I’m also read Twisted Love. I actually started it today and I’m already 15% into it. Happy reading!! 💕

For me it was a toss up between Lessons in Corruption and Gothikana. Which student/teacher book did you decide on? I know I looked but don’t remember. Happy reading!!

I haven’t heard of Gothikana. I will have to look that one up. I went with Grading Curves by Naima Simone. Someone recommended it to me when I asked for student/teacher romances and it was available on KU so I went with it.

Ah! I’m familiar with Naima Simone, but I haven’t read anything by her yet. I see that’s a novella. It should make for a quick read. I’ll be looking forward to seeing what you thought of it!

I didn’t realize it was a novella. That makes me even happier. Maybe I will be able to read more than I was expecting.
