Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Happy Wednesday!

Hi, my bookish friends! It’s hump day. I hope you’re all having a great week. The only thing going on around here that I don’t remember mentioning is that we’re preparing to start planting our pumpkin patch for the fall. This is something my daughter got into her head and has been running with it. We’re starting out fairly small for our first year, but I know she plans on extending the patch and adding new varieties for next year.

Now let’s talk books.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

These are the books that I’ve made progress in since my update Monday. After all these years I am finally reading the last Harry Potter book. My daughter has been reading the series, and she just got to the last book. Of course, she wants me to read it so we can talk about it.

I really enjoyed Lessons in Corruption, and I’m giving Book Lovers 6 Amazing Stars! I loved it from start to finish.

These are just some of the options I have for my next book.

Which books are you enjoying this week???

Happy Reading,

    • I’m definitely looking forward to continuing Darling’s series. I loved Praise and I have heard a lot of good from the other two books, so I’m looking forward to continuing Cate’s series as well.

      • That’s great! We don’t have much space at our home (although we once had a huge pumpkin plant growing on the roof of the shed), but I hope to plant at least 2-3 varieties at our countryside plot come spring.
I’m SO excited to read Book Lovers! Hopefully some time next week if everything works out. xx

      • On the roof of the shed! How fun. We’re blessed with a nice chunk of land, but a lot of it is forested, so it’s still a challenge to find areas with the right amount of sunlight.

      • We had a little compost patch right next to the shed back then and a pumpkin plant randomly sprouted, so we let it climb up a pole and ‘walk’ around on the flat roof of our shed… We got huge pumpkins out of it too!
I know your pain about the finding the right amount of sunshine though… At home we don’t have that much sunshine and it’s hard to get certain plants to thrive; the countryside plot is the other way around with hardly any shade. (NOT good with 35+°C temperatures in summer xD)

      • Oh wow! That’s so cool how it climbed the shed. We’ve had a variety of plants start to sprout from our compost at various times, but we’ve never had any that thrived and produced out of it. And I can relate. Our summer is just starting and we’ve already hit 103 Fahrenheit, which would be 39 C. It’s been an unusually hot summer here so far. It’s going to be a fight to keep the garden alive this summer.

      • The plants in our compost patch usually don’t grow that big as the bugs tend to get to them, but we’ve had a few exceptions including a peach tree that’s even bearing fruits now (though we planted it somewhere else after it reached 30cm or so).
And yikes, that sounds like a very hot start to the summer! I hope there will be some cooler weather coming your way soon.
