#IMWAYR ~ 4/12/21

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

We celebrated my mom’s birthday with a crawfish boil Saturday. We had great weather for it, which we were grateful for after the nasty weather we had the night before.

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

We got some fantastic news on my father-in-law today. His main tumor in his lungs has shrunk to less than half the size since starting treatment. So, we’ll continue with the immunotherapy every 3 weeks. We’ll be meeting with another doctor next week to check on the MRI results to see how the cancer cells in his brain are looking after the radiation. We’re praying for great results there, as well, of course.

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent a little time looking at new challenges for 2021, catching up with recording books for last years challenges, and reading. I still have quite a bit of catching up to do with my challenges. They’re always fun to look at – both the new challenges and looking at what I accomplished last year. And it builds some excitement for this year.

Happy Monday! I hope all of you had a fantastic weekend! I just got back from the Cancer Center. If all continues going well, we are done for the rest of this year and don’t have to go back for 3 more weeks. It’s almost like I don’t know what to do with myself now.

Tomorrow my hubs and his dad are going fishing. Just a few weeks ago we didn’t even think he’d make it to Christmas and now he’s feeling well enough to go fishing! Such a blessing! We know this cancer will ultimately be a death sentence, but we’re so grateful that he’s having a little more time to enjoy life here with us.

Happy Monday! I hope all of y’alls weeks are off to a good start. I know it’s been a few days since I’ve posted. I’ve been super busy, but it hasn’t all been bad. Tomorrow I take my FIL to get a port put in. I’ll take him to get his first round of chemo on Wednesday. Prayers are definitely appreciated!

This weekend I’m going camping with my family. We already had this planned, but it’ll definitely be a nice way to destress a little. My oldest son is participating in a disc golf tournament at the park we’re staying at. Right now it looks like the weather will be perfect for the weekend, so I’m praying it stays that way!

Happy Monday! I hope all of y’alls weeks are off to a good start. Things have been hectic here, but moving along. My uncle and my FIL were both released from the hospital this week. After seeing how my uncle has struggled to heal because of his diabetes, my mom has been motivated to start eating better as she is borderline diabetic. So, I spent a lot of the weekend educating her on different foods and making recipes for us to share. I already eat whole foods/gluten free/sugar free, and the rest of my family doesn’t. That means instead of me making a couple meals for myself and making them last through the week, I’m now getting double the options. We’re just dividing all our food between each other. Plus we’re preparing the foods together, so less work. I’m also making bigger quantities, so I can start sharing with my FIL, who is also diabetic and has been eating horribly. We made some cranberry cheesecake bars (5 carbs) and some chocolate bark with pecans & almonds (1 carb), so she’ll have something sweet to nibble on here and there. She was thrilled that she can still indulge in something like that – in moderation of course. Now onto books ~
