Title: Awakening You
Series: Unraveling You #3
Author: Jessica Sorensen
Publication Date: Mar. 24, 2015
Genre: YA Contemporary Romance / Drama
March was a pretty good reading month for me. I read 16 books, and only one of those did I rate below 4 stars!! Keep in mind these aren’t books necessarily published in March, or even this year, but books that I’ve read in March.
So, here’s my top 5 ~

A Message of Flowers by Rachel May Walter
It’s been a few months since I’ve won a physical copy of a book, so this was exciting for me!

Kindle Purchase
Awakening You by Jessica Sorensen
I have been waiting so impatiently for this release. I’m reading it now, and it is NOT disappointing!
Library
Dreamfire by Kit Alloway
I had someone recommend this to me on Facebook as a book they could not put down. The synopsis sounds great, so I’m excited to give it a try!
Secondhand Bookstore
Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Yes, you see that correctly! I picked this one up for just $2.50! I’ve been wanting to read this series for a while, so I was super excited!
It’s been just over a month since I’ve started this challenge, so I thought it would be a good time to give an update. For covers, I decided to just share the cover of the first book in each series to make things simpler.
I’ll start with the series I’ve completed or have gotten up to date on:
Beautiful series by Jamie McGuire
Unfinished Hero series by Kristen Ashley
Death Collectors series by Jessica Sorensen
Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Maddox Brothers by Jamie McGuire
Unraveling You series by Jessica Sorensen
The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines
So, that’s 7 series so far. My goal for the year is 4, so I’m good so far. Several of these series have more books to be released this year, so I will have to stay caught up to maintain these numbers! Oh, and I’m not counting series that only have one book released so far.
Now, here’s the series that I have read at least one book towards this year (I’m not counting series that I’ve only read one book in):
The Coincidence series by Jessica Sorensen
I’d already started this series prior to 2015, but I’ve read two more books this year. I have just two more to be caught up.
The Keatyn Chronicles by Jillian Dodd
I read Adore Me this year, book # 4.5. I have just two more books to complete this series.
So that’s 7 series that I’m caught up on or finished, and a total of nine series that I’ve worked on this year. I might add another challenge in soon just for fun since I’m doing so well on these. Not biting off too much from the start has definitely helped me to stay on top of things this year.
I already have in my possession the last two books in The Keatyn Chronicles, so I expect to finish those soon. Plus, I plan on purchasing Happenstance 3 soon to finish that series. It’ll be towards the end of March before any more books in the series I’m caught up on will be released. March 24th Awakening You in Sorensen’s Unraveling You series will be released, and on the 31st she’s releasing Spark in her Death Collectors series. I swear she never sleeps!
So, how are you doing with the goals you’ve set for yourself? Feeling overwhelmed? If so, I definitely recommend just focusing on just one challenge at a time until you’ve reached your goal. It’s definitely helped me out this year!
Happy Reading,
Alison
Title: Raveling You
Series: Unraveling You #2
Author: Jessica Sorensen
Release Date: Jan. 13, 2015
Genre: Contemporary YA Romance / Drama
Ayden Gregory may want to keep running from his nightmares, but he no longer has a choice. His past is catching up with him. And fast. He relies on one person to keep him from crumbling. His best friend Lyric Scott.
Lyric feels helpless watching her best friend’s world turn upside down. But she does her best to remain positive and upbeat. She gets their band their first gig and even with everything going on, her relationship with Ayden starts to heat up.
But when danger enters Ayden’s life again, even Lyric might not be able to help him.
My ****4.5**** Star Review
I am sooo loving this series! My only complaint is that the books just aren’t long enough! I WANT MORE!!
If you haven’t read the first book, then stop here! This book picks up where Unraveling You stops, so this review will probably contain spoilers for book 1. You can read my review on Unraveling You HERE.
My heart so breaks for Ayden. He has been through hell, and they want him to relive it. He’s starting to remember some things, but he really worries about how Lyric will feel about him after all this. He’s trying to deal with all this while still fighting to discover where his sister is and what happened to his brother. There’s also a break-in and hypnotic therapy to contend with, and that’s just the start. You start wondering, if you haven’t already, if this series is about to take a serious trip on the dark side.
The chemistry between Ayden and Lyric is just as strong as ever. The tension remains thick, and Ayden is taking steps forward. You always wonder if they will lead to two steps back, though.
So, you have the love story with two teens trying to overcome one dark past, a major mystery, cult issues, and a possible murder to solve. It’s definitely shaping up into one incredible story!
If you enjoyed Unraveling You, then you’ll definitely want to pick up this second book! Book 3, Awakening You (doesn’t that title sound awfully ominous), will be released Mar. 24th. Then book 4, Entangling Us, will follow Apr. 21st. I CAN’T WAIT!! Jessica, you are one serious powerhouse of an author!
