Review ~ Nocte by Courtney Cole

Title: Nocte

Series: The Nocte Trilogy #1

Author: Courtney Cole

Publication Date: Nov. 3, 2014

Genre: Contemporary New Adult Psychological Mystery

My name is Calla Price. I’m eighteen years old, and I’m one half of a whole. My other half– my twin brother, my Finn– is crazy. I love him. More than life, more than anything. And even though I’m terrified he’ll suck me down with him, no one can save him but me. I’m doing all I can to stay afloat in a sea of insanity, but I’m drowning more and more each day. So I reach out for a lifeline. Dare DuBray. He’s my savior and my anti-Christ. His arms are where I feel safe, where I’m afraid, where I belong, where I’m lost. He will heal me, break me, love me and hate me. He has the power to destroy me. Maybe that’s ok. Because I can’t seem to save Finn and love Dare without everyone getting hurt. Why? Because of a secret. A secret I’m so busy trying to figure out, that I never see it coming. You won’t either.

My *****5 Star***** Review

I really don’t have a whole lot to say about this book. You’ll make hoards of guesses. They’ll all be wrong. Then you’ll make more, and they’ll be wrong, too. You aren’t meant to figure it out and you won’t.

You’ll get sucked into the romance, and you’ll feel dread for what’s coming. You just have no idea what’s coming. Then, even after you know, you don’t. You don’t know ANYTHING!

You won’t even know WHO is and WHO isn’t. But, you’ll be DYING to know. This book is almost unreviewable because of the fact that you won’t know ANYTHING.

Oh, but then the ending and you get some answers, but then a cliffhanger that will leave you scrambling for more. But, it’s all still WHACKED!

I highly recommend this to any Never Never fans, or to those of you that love a good psychological mystery with a romantic bent.

Happy Reading,

Alison

Stacking the Shelves #16

*WARNING ~ this post contains images that may not be suitable for children.*

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.

I picked up 5 books this week. Technically I picked up more as one is a boxed set.

I used an audible credit to get Fractured Souls. I’m listening to this book now.

Fractured

I also purchased these kindle books:

mud

I finished reading Mud Vein yesterday (review coming soon), and I must admit to HATING this book while loving it. Someone please tell me if I’ll feel the same way after reading her Love Me with Lies series.

keatyn

I had already read the first 4 books in this series, but with it being only 99 cents, it was a deal to get the rest of the series this way. I finished reading Adore Me yesterday so you can expect a review soon.

beautiful

I devoured this the night of its release. I loved Thomas’s story! Watch for the review soon!

This will probably be the next book I start. I’ve only read one Courtney Cole book, but it’s stuck with me enough that I can still remember it 100 books later. I don’t know why I haven’t gotten to more of her books. I guess it goes back to the usual more books than time.

You can also check out my Kindle Freebies post HERE to see what freebies I picked up.

So, what new books did you stack your shelves with this week?

Happy Reading,

Alison
